Motif: Museum as Studio
In Motif, a solo exhibition at the Stanley-Whitman House Museum, the historic house became a site for making art and creating meaning. Drawing from 18th- and 19th-century floral motifs in textiles and decorative arts, I created paintings, prints, carved blocks, and an herbarium. Supersized Flower Bed paintings invited visitors to stand eye to eye with the the house's floral history and a living installation created a sensory experience.
